Inspired by the classic Scandinavian cabinetmaker chairs, the construction is light and transparent, clearly showing of all elements of the chair. The cigar shaped profiles tells the story of where the chairs need to be strong and robust, therefore creating a natural flow throughout the chair. With a rather small footprint, wide armrests and high backrest, this chair is meant for both relaxing and engaged conversations. The name “Summit” refers to this meeting and discussion between people, where we imagine our chairs would play host to.
伝統的なスカンジナビア家具職人の椅子にヒントを得てデザインされたこの椅子は、軽く、透明感があり、椅子の構造をはっきりと見せるデザインになっています。葉巻型の脚にすることで椅子全体に強さと美しさを表現しました。小さな足元、広い肘掛と高めの背もたれで構成されたこの椅子は、リラックスしたおしゃべりにも白熱した議論の場にも適したものとなっています。 「Summit」という名前は、打ち合わせや会議の場で、椅子そのものがお客様をおもてなしするホストの役割を担うことを期待してつけたものです。
