ARIAKE and EST.18 presents NAGARE, a special exhibition during 3daysofdesign Copenhagen, with new furniture by Anderssen & Voll, Keiji Ashizawa, Norm Architects, Gabriel Tan, Naoki Terada, Monica Förster & Christian Haas.
The name Nagare means ‘flow’ in Japanese, and refers to a sequence of events. The 2024 collection is the fruit of the Ariake Design Workshop last year, when our designers came to Saga to prototype new ideas with our craftsmen. Such workshops form the soul of Ariake but were paused for 4 years because of the pandemic.
We are happy to resume the flow of creation and put our design workshop back at the heart of our brand. The exhibition also features a bonsai installation by Jan Leung of Bonsai Murin and washi sculptures by Gen Taniguchi.

ARIAKE COLLECTIONは、デンマークのパートナーでもあるEST.18の協力のもと、3days of design Copenhagenの期間中、Anderssen & Voll、芦沢啓治、Norm Architects、Gabriel Tan、寺田尚樹、Monica Förster と Christian Haasによる新作家具を発表する特別展「NAGARE」を開催いたしました。
「Nagare」とは日本語の「流れ」を意味し、これまでのARIAKEの一連の出来事を指しています。2024の新作コレクションは、昨年佐賀で開催された「有明デザインワークショップ」期間中にデザインされたものです。毎年このワークショップを実施してきたことにより、現在のARIAKEが形成していますが、パンデミックのために4年間中断せざるをえませんでした。
それが昨年、クリエーションの流れをスタートさせ、デザインワークショップを再びブランドの中心に据えることができることを嬉しく思います。 また、Bonsai Murinのヤン・レオンによる盆栽インスタレーションや、谷口弦による和紙のオブジェクトも展示されました。
